Puerto Aventuras is only 20 minutes fromPlaya del Carmen, 35 minutes from Cancun and 25 minutes from Tulum. There are a lot of activities you can do in Puerto Aventuras: swim with dolphins, go sailing on a catamaran, spend a day fishing, sunbathe in the beautiful beaches, play  tennis, golf, diving or snorkeling in its transparent and warm water, walk around, watersports,  etc..You can enjoy eating different dishes since there are restaurants serving a variety of international and local foodfrom tacos to hamburgers

Puerto Aventuras has the main marina between Cancun and Belize, so if you are a sailor or a sport fisherman you will find here a wonderful marina.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Distance:
Puerto Aventuras is located 1 hour south of Cancun, 12 minutes south of Playa del Carmen and 30 minutes north of Tulum
Transportation:
You can use Public or Private transportation to explore the Riviera Maya.
Private transportation:
Rental Cars and Taxis. You will find a taxi at Cancun Airport (make sure to agree on a price before leaving) who will give you a ride to your destination.
Public Transportation:
First class or second class buses, which serve all the Riviera Maya . First class buses operate between terminals, which is a very good idea for long journeys since you cut a lot of time off. This service is given with modern buses with toilet, video, air conditioning and assigned seats. Second class buses are smaller than first class or are also vans. These buses pass more or less regulary each hour and stop at every village, town or person along the way, that is why they are slowest than first class.

There is not an Inmigration Office at Puerto Avetnuras – You should go to Playa del Carmen or Cancun.
Post Office:
Puerto Aventuras post office is located in the gazebo along Puerto's main access road. Mon-Fri. 8 am-2:30 PM.
Medical Service:
General Practitioner. Next to the Security office.
Stores and restaurants accept US dollars, but if you change them at a Money Exchange you will get more money since they have a better rate.
At hotels you may also exchange your cash or traveler checks
Church:
Catholic services, Sunday at 5:30 PM. Located close to Puerto's main entrance.

RICHARD’S : on the marina. Steaks, Seafood and Pizza, salad bar.

CAFE OLE: Wide variety of dishes from Mexican to American with seafood and daily specials too.
DA VINCI: on the beach (hotel Omni), if you consume food, drinks you are allowed to use beach and pool from hotel all day !
MEDITERRANEO: on the marina. Italian restaurant.
TIRAMI SU: on the marina. Italian cuisine.
ARIGATO: on the marina. Japanese sushi bar and salads.
DOS CHILES: on the marina. Mexican cuisine.
